Insta-life - May.

DIY Spikes

Time for another DIY moment! And of course, it involves another collar embellishing (if you missed my first one, check it out HERE). This time, I've used spikes that I found in Etsy and sewed them onto a plain H&M shirt gaving it a little edge. Check out all the details.

I have more plans for the spikes I didn't use, plus I've ordered a few more. I'll be taking some inspiration from the designers from The Blonds and using a few more dangerously sized spikes. I can't wait to show you guys!

The palazzo pant. Kind of feels like you're wearing pajama's and I love it. These high waisted ones from Anthropology kind of remind me of a pair of ugly 70s curtains that I totally dig. Is that strange? Probably but who cares! They'll be great for the scorching hot Toronto days because they're thin and flowy.

Alright, so now that everything is official, I can share my exciting news that I mentioned at the beginning of the week. I've decided to take things on a little differently these days and stop doing something that I don't enjoy, and start with something I love. Clearly what I love is fashion. So I'm going to make a go at it go back to school next year here in Toronto to dip a little into this fabulous world of fashion. Not only that, but I'll be starting a new and exciting job at Canada's most luxurious department stores, Holt Renfrew. So if you in the downtown area, come visit me at the flagship location on Bloor Street and let me style you! You can find me amongst all the gorgeous accessories.

Trends are just as popular in the shoe world as any other category of fashion. This year so far has shown shoe trends from spikes to creepers, flat forms to the wedged high top, and now the metal capped shoe. Summer Bloom.

Today officially felt like summer in the city! 28 degrees and nailing it! And how beautiful is the tree behind me, in full bloom!
